Stoller 2007 Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills, OR

Every time I take my first sip of a glass of Oregon Pinot Noir, I decide then and there that Oregon pinots are the best wines. Period.
That is exactly what happened upon my first sip of Stoller’s 2007 estate grown pinot noir. My taste buds understood exactly what the label said about being “an extremely approachable” wine.

Two thumbs up to 2007 Stoller. I highly recommend it.

Asiago Blue Cheese Walnut Crisps

I got this recipe from My Year On The Grill, and it was so fast, so easy, and so delicious, that I added it to my “favorites” category on my blog. Here is the original blog post I visited for this month’s Taste & Create.

I bought Asiago imported from Italy, Oregon blue cheese, and bulk walnuts.
Simply grate the asiago, crumble the blue cheese, and chop the nuts. Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake at 300 for approximately 10 minutes.
Try not to eat them all at once.

Oregon Pears and Cheese with Tangerine Fig Balsamic

A delicious snack made with three food gifts we received last Christmas.
Home-canned Oregon pears, topped with 10 year old Tillamook cheddar, and a drizzle of Tangerine Fig Balsamic vinegar.

Pinot Noir

Having special ties to Oregon, I am fond of many Oregon and Northwest products. Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Noir is one of them. Pinot Noir is a very difficult grape to grow, and it turns out the climate in Oregon is ideal for this grape. I am in the midst of a Pinot frenzy, which involves tasting a different Pinot Noir whenever I have the chance. This 2007 was enjoyable, to say the least.
